1. Artist Profile

KAT-TUN is a boyband group originally from Japan, that formed by entertainment company, Johny & Associates. The name of this group was arranged from the first letter of each members's family name (Kazuya Kamenashi, Jin Akanishi, Junnosuke Taguchi, Koki Tanaka, Tatsuya Ueda, Yuichi Nakamaru). Beside that, KAT-TUN could mean Lucky for Victory, so their fans in Japan called this group as Katsu-un. All of them are vocalist, just similar to my previous posting, V6.

KAT-TUN was formed by Johnny Kitagawa with a purpose as a background dancer in the NHK tv program, Pop Jam on March 16, 2001. On that date was reputed as a legitimate day for the formed of KAT-TUN, although on April 7 also called as a formed day of KAT-TUN.

KAT-TUN's first appearance was on the concert called Okyakusama wa Kami Sama - Concert 55Nin Ai no Request Kotaete!!", (it's meaning that Guest is a king of concert that granted the love request of 550.000 people). Same as the title of the shows, their first concert was directed for 4 times in the front of 200.000 audience which luck of total 550.000 that joining the lottery in order can win the ticket. Then the concert was lengthened as much as 2 times, and the totally was 6 shows times in 2 days.

On January 2004, KAT-TUN appeared in the musical drama show called Dream Boy Hideaki Takizawa (Tackey & Tsubasa) which was held in Imperial Garden Theater, Tokyo.
The shows was talking about same story, but featured Kazuya Kamenashi as the main character called KAT-TUN & Kanjani8 Edition.

On the April 4, 2007, KAT-TUN has a television program for the first time. This program called Cartoon KAT-TUN where KAT-TUN as the main star, at once was their first tv program that given the title containing "KAT-TUN" word. The kind of this television program is called Kanmuri Bangumi and in general way, this chance was just given for the famous artist in Japan.

KAT-TUN has 5 studio albums, 12 singles and 8 video albums. Their latest album is No More Pain which was released on June 26, 2010 and peaked at #1 position on Oricon Album. Also there was 2 singles included this album entitled Love Yourself (Kimi ga Kirai na Kimi ga Suki) and Going!. Both of the song peaked at #1 position on the Oricon Single.

The 2010 album No More Pain has 2 version. The limited edition contains 13 tracks and the regular edition contains 14 tracks with a bonus track.
