Tetsuya Ogawa born on October 3, 1969 (age 40), is a founder, bassist, and a Japanese rock band leader, called L'Arc~en~Ciel. By beginning from his name, tetsu (all lowercase letters), also known as soloist called TETSU69 (all uppercase), that number 69 shows his birth year. But, since early 2007, along with the releasing of his 6th single, entitled Can't Stop Believing, the name of TETSU69 changed to tetsu. And on December 1, 2009, he changed his stage name to TETSUYA.
In 2006, tetsu became a constant guest for the band called Creature Creature, it is a band created by legendary vocalist of Japanese band, Morrie from Dead End band. Tetsu well-known for his bass playing which is not common, wild, and tend to be complicated. Beside that, tetsu also known as the most notable artists who has the high style of dressing among the other members of L'Arc~en~Ciel. In 1999, he got famous with his Bufallo shoes series, is a shoe with a soles as thick as 15 cm. Since in 2003, he preferred to dress up applying plaid pants klit by the same motif.
Many of L'Arc~en~Ciel's songs involves Tetsu playing counter melodies with Ken (guitarist of L'Arc~en~Ciel), while still holding with a groove of the drum.
He suggested the name to his band (L'Arc~en~Ciel), after inspiration of French film with the same name. He was also as the song writer for some L'Arc~en~Ciel's songs, even the lyrics. One of his most notable song entitled Tightrope was used as ending theme for Gensomaden Saiyuki : Requiem anime series in 2001. Tightrope was his first single, at once has double A sides, and the another was Wonderful World.
Tetsu is the oldest boy in his family, he has 2 younger sisters. In his family, he usually called tetchan, and then the people around do the same thing. Just like Hyde (L'Arc~en~Ciel vocalist), Tetsu ever joined sport club at his school, the different is he joined Baseball club. But also as well as Hyde, he can't train his baseball skill, because he is lazy with all basics training of baseball. Tetsu just want to play baseball, not to train.
Tetsu is just one of L'Arc~en~Ciel members who doesn't smoke. Although other members are smoking like devil around him, but he will not smoke. (Good example for us... hehe...)
In 2007, Tetsuya and 22-year-old actress Ayana Sakai got married.

The leader of the famous Japanese band, has released 7 singles and 1 album. His first five single was under the stage name of TETSU69, and the sixth single was under tetsu. And the last two, entitled Roulette (seventh single) contains 3 tracks and was under the stage name of TETSUYA, which was released on May 19, 2010.
Also followed by Looking For Light (eighth single) which will be released on next August 18, 2010. Tetsu only still has 1 studio album, entitled Suite November was released on November 20, 2002 under the stage name of TETSU69. By contaning 8 tracks, the price of this album was ¥2500.
