Yui (or written YUI), is a Japanese female singer, song-writter, and actress. She was born in Fukuoka, Fukuoka Perfecture, on March 26, 1987 (Age 23). Yui appears in singing with her guitar. And both of her songs, entitled Life and Rolling Star was used as 5th opening and 5th ending theme for Bleach Anime Series. Her first album, From me to you was released on February 22, 2006, that contains 13 tracks and 9 tracks which unreleased before.
Yui started writing her own song when she was still in 3rd Grade of Junior High School. She had an aspiration, that one day in the future, she could become a singer. Therefore, YUI always bring her guitar wherever she was. And at Senior High School, she often watchs a performance of bianco nero music group in the street, and decided to drop out from the school. Then, Yui began to sing, writing a song, and playing guitar at the music course in Fukuoka.
While sitting with the legs crossed, Yui was playing guitar and wrote her first song, entitled Why me. After that, she began to sing on the roadside at the Tenjin Region, Fukuoka. And also as the opening attraction for her one place friend of music course.
On March 2004, Yui joined an audition named SD Audition which held by Sony Music Japan. And from twenty thousand participants, only ten people (include Yui) who would be selected. By sitting with the legs crossed on the floor, Yui sang while playing guitar. There were 3 songs sung by Yui, why me, It's happy line, and I know. Based on the rule of audition, the finalist may only sing 2 songs, and the panelists gave a high score for Yui. After that, some record companies competed to sign her. The first song sung by Yui, why me would be used as a debut single, and followed by It's happy line and I know. Two songs published as her debut indie, "t's Happy Line" and I Know was on the B-Side.

The studio albums that have been released by Yui are From Me to You in 2006, Can't Buy My Love in 2007, and the latest I loved yesterday in 2008.
In 2009, Yui released 2 single, entitled Again and It's All Too Much/Never Say Die. Two songs peaked 1st position on Oricon.
Yui released her new single Gloria on January 20, 2010. It was another chart-topper, selling 80.000 copies in the first week. Her next single, to Mother, was released on June 2, 2010.
